"The truth is that barely a day goes by without those of us who stand for biblical morality receiving hateful emails or tweets, calling for our death or beating or wounding. And these ugly comments, laced with violent threats, come from those who identify as LGBT (or as their straight allies).

The fact is that there are hateful, potentially violent people in all camps, and rather than demonize millions of God-fearing, people-loving Christians, simply because they hold to biblical values, David Pakman, along with the SPLC, should focus on the real extremists.

What makes you think I am pissed or perturbed? Frank is a Liberal Swine.

What's wrong with calling people what they are?

At any rate, turning the other cheek means to be patient, long-suffering, and non-resentful towards someone who is doing you wrong.

Are you implying Socrates is doing something wrong?

Politics as Usual Tool Kit:
1. Tell lies 2. Call names 3. Put words in mouth.
4. Change the subject. 5. Play dumb. 6. Be sarcastic.
7. Get angry. 8. Make threats. 9. Get violent.

"Wordless knowing" is confined to God. Unfortunately, once it is
/received/ from God and interpreted by the /chosen/, we wind up with
more words than we know what to do with. Not surprisingly, those words
always seem to fit the agenda of the interpreter. On the /plus/ side
these interpretations /do/ function as a sort of paperless mental health
and IQ test.

Naturally, these tests lead to stereotypes which then open the door to
metaphors. For example, when I saw this, I immediately thought of teddy:

He has to run it by the church elders so they can tell him what he
thinks about it.

Ask Ted any question and it's usually at least a couple days before he
responds.

Umm okay,,,, You are probably the greatest example of stupidity on usenet.
I'm being kind by recognising that you are more than likely mentally
'upset' - so much so that the vast majority of folks hereabouts actually
laugh at your attempts to be normal :-)

I have a suggestion for you. IF you can use simple logic, can you
understand that when everyone tells you that you are a nutcase, there has to
be a semblance of truth !!

But god knows, (and god does know) heaven has a special place for those of
limited understanding.

So if I were you I'd change. See that an addict that doesn't change his
ways, will forever live in the purgatory of his own mind.

So regardless of what I or anyone else says, or thinks about you, you will
always be a nutcase, albeit an evil dishonest one, trying to use religion to
hide behind...

And me saying it doesn't change that fact.

Cheers

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not
notice the log that is in your own eye?
In case you did not know it, you are a degenerate liberal swine.
Aren't you the guy who recently whined and cried about all the bad, BAD,
people who were calling you degrading names?

Of course you did so without providing any evidence (even anecdotal) so
everything you claim must be taken with a grain of salt.

But then you call Frank a degenerate swine. Isn't that name calling?
Does it not provide an excellent example of not noticing that log in
your own eye?

This is why I can't figure out if you are really just full of crap and
don't believe most of what you spew, or if you honestly DO have enough
severe emotional issues that you really believe the things you type.

That's really the $64k question, isn't it?

It's the only thing about tedw that makes him interesting. Sometimes I
think there's a glimmer of reason there... just enough to make debate
worthwhile... and then it dissolves into the stubborn anti-logic so
typical of his type.

Personally, I think religiosity is an ideal coping mechanism for people
like Ted. The bible serves a dual purpose. Spouting and touting all of
its wisdom and love boosts the self-esteem. And yet it is chocked full
of passages that, when taken out of context, can be used to lend support
to one's own fears and prejudices.

Hope springs eternal and hoping against the evidence that you can see
"reason" is a credit, IMO, to all of us who /try/ to keep an open mind,
thinking that maybe there's more to the guy. But it never happens.

teddy has a number of wizards. Like teddy, (and some followers of
Islam), they are warp minded fanatics who believe they are personally
entrusted to enforce the will of their /loving/ God.

At the home for paranoid loose cannons (world net daily) we have:

Michael Brown:
Used the opportunity of the massacre at a gay youth center in Tel Aviv
to complain the Proposition 8 supporters had received "death threats".

Joseph Farah:
Pledged $15,000 to the hospital where Obama was born upon the release of
Obama's long-form birth certificate and when it /was/ released promptly
welched.

Jane Chastain:
Sports announcer turned wannabe political shrew.

Ted Nugent:
A man so compassionate, so endowed with empathy that he once said: "I'm
stymied to come up with anything funnier than people who think animals
have rights."

Well, as the saying goes, we are "the sum total of what we surround
ourselves with."

Bringing in the sheep, bringing in the sheep,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheep.

And your form of religious *imposition* is part of "people loving"
Christians? Your judgement & intolerance of individuals that are
*different* according to *your* biblical values wouldn't be a type of
extreme in itself?
